Here at Youth Action Diversity Trust (or YADT as we are better known) we focus on encouraging youth and family engagement and participation in activities and learning across the Bexley Borough, whilst ensuring that everything we do is inclusive and a whole lot of fun! We love working with children, young people and adults and we pride ourselves in being creative and dynamic in all that we do. We hold the City and Guilds Gold Award for Assured Quality for our work. This puts us among the top Youth and Community Organisations in London, which we think is pretty special! Here at YADT we have a clear objective to improve citizenship and to help children and young people to structure their life so that it is the best it can be. We also support adults to reduce isolation and to improve health and wellbeing. Some people have very challenging times in their life and we aim to play a small part in bringing structure and support to their world.
Our inclusive activities for adults include the Kingfisher Social Club and a Coffee Morning which are all held at the North Cray Neighbourhood Centre! For more information about these activities please click on the session name.
Being a young person in todays world is challenging and here at YADT, we understand that some young people need a little extra support to help them get a positive start in life or overcome obstacles along the way. Our friendly team work with young people and their families to understand Autism and ADHD behaviours. Helping them to develop strategies for a calmer family life. We also help young people with the issues that affect them. These can be a number of issues such as anger management, social anxiety, improving confidence, enhancing communication and dealing with stress and loss.
We are pleased to be able to offer a selection of fantastic 'Care for the Family: Time Out for Parent Courses' run by our Behaviour Team at the North Cray Neighbourhood Centre. These courses are designed to help you build a strong and secure relationship with your child whatever their age.
Our fabulous Centres have numerous rooms to hire for meetings, regular sessions or one off events. The spaces vary in size and more information can be found one the 'Our Centres' page.
