Responsible to: The Centre Manager

Job Purpose: To undertake caretaking duties in the services of YADT with priority given to the development of the Centre which includes maintaining health and safety standards and fire safety procedures.

Hours: approx. 25 hours. Monday to Saturday (Flexibility is essential)*

Hourly Rate: £11 per hour

*Please note as a guideline at North Cray, Monday to Friday hours will be primarily in the evenings. Saturday hours will be between 9am and 6pm.

Duties:

1. To maintain the building and grounds in line with the Caretaking duties guidelines

2. To ensure the Centre remains clean and meets the health and safety standards set out in the health and safety policy and procedures manual

3. To ensure that best practice is undertaken at all times in line with YADT guidelines and procedures. This is particularly pertinent regarding Equality and Diversity, Child Protection Polices and Health and Safety and Fire procedures

4. To offer flexibility where reasonable notice is needed to cover staff sickness and holidays

5. To support Centre activities and provide practical support to community projects and centre users and the general public

6. To undertake other duties required to fulfil the post as directed by the Centre Manager

Requirements:

· A strong commitment to working in the local Community and being a strong team player is essential to our small Charity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and social individual to help maintain the high standards of our Community work.

· Previous experience in a Caretaking role is desirable but not essential
