Sidcup Art Club

Sidcup Art Club is a group of like-minded people of all standards who enjoy art. Although there is no formal tuition, members are always happy to share tips and techniques and try new things. We cover all mediums - watercolour, oil, acrylics, soft pastels, oil pastels and drawing.

The club meets at Hurst Community Centre on a Monday evening from 7:30pm to approximately 9:30pm. There is ample parking at the centre and bus stops just outside. We meet in the small hall on the group floor (no steps) which is light and airy. It has direct access to a conservatory and allows us to use the grounds during the summer months.

Tea / coffee and biscuits are provided for a charge of 50p, payable on the night or you can bring your own.

We have a suggested programme of painting themes for those who are stuck for an idea or you can do your own thing!

We have a painting evening where you can show art work that you have done outside the club and we have a members exhibition where you submit one piece of work anonymously and we each vote for our favourite. The winning artist wins a gift voucher for art materials.

We also arrange several trips out in the warmer months to enjoy the experience and camaraderie of painting en plein air.

The Club runs from 1 January to 31st December each year. The membership fee is currently £60payable in January each year. If you join during the year a pro rata fee will be charged.

We look forward to seeing you and are sure you will have an enjoyable time.
